| Coming soon | Team chat and support | One click: approve bubbl3 on Slack's own page |
Slack isn't offered yet. This page says what it will do and what you can use meanwhile: a Lead URL, or Zapier, Make or n8n.
What it does
Connecting Slack posts one line to the channel you choose when:
- a contact replies to a text;
- an assistant hands a conversation to a person.
What an alert includes: what happened ("A contact replied", or "A conversation needs a person" with the reason in a few words) and a link to the conversation in bubbl3. It never includes the contact's name or any digits of their number, what the message says, or an assistant's note. In a clinic, who wrote is itself private.
Nobody can reply from Slack, and bubbl3 reads nothing from it.
Setup
- In bubbl3, open Settings, Integrations, choose Slack, then Connect (Add to Slack).
- On Slack's page, pick the channel and approve.
You can also paste an incoming webhook address you made in Slack for the channel.
| What you enter | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Incoming webhook address | In Slack, add an incoming webhook for the channel and copy its address |
To post to another channel, disconnect and connect again.
Disconnect
Disconnect from the connection page in Settings, Integrations, or remove bubbl3 from your Slack workspace.
- Stops at once: alerts.
- Deleted at once: the channel's webhook address.
- Kept: alerts already posted stay in Slack.
Data shared
From bubbl3 to Slack: each alert's one line and link, as above.
From Slack to bubbl3: the channel's webhook address and name. bubbl3 never keeps Slack's bot token.
Scopes and permissions
| Scope | Why bubbl3 needs it |
|---|---|
incoming-webhook | Post alerts to the one channel you pick. Nothing else |
Events
What bubbl3 receives
Nothing: Slack only receives alerts from bubbl3.
What bubbl3 writes back
| What | Where it shows in Slack |
|---|---|
| Alerts | One line with a link, in the channel you picked |
Sending rules that still apply
Slack never causes a text, and nothing in Slack can send one. Alerts carry no message text and nothing that identifies the contact.
Limits and known gaps
- At most one alert a second per connection (Slack's limit for incoming webhooks).
- If the webhook is removed in Slack, alerts stop and bubbl3 records why.
Troubleshooting
- Alerts stopped. The webhook or app was removed in Slack. Connect again.
- The alert doesn't say who wrote. That's deliberate: open the link to see the conversation in bubbl3.
