Jobber isn't offered yet. This page says what it will do and what you can use meanwhile: a Lead URL, or Zapier, Make or n8n.

What it does

Jobber runs home service businesses. Connecting it lets bubbl3:

  • import every client and get new and changed clients, new requests, new quotes and approved quotes as they happen (each read as its client);
  • log every text bubbl3 sends or receives, and held or refused texts with the reason, as client notes;
  • turn off Jobber's own texting for each of the client's numbers, with a note, when they text STOP;
  • update a client's first or last name, company name or title when a workflow or conversion event asks.

bubbl3 never sends Jobber's own texts, emails, quotes or invoices.

Setup

  1. In bubbl3, open Settings, Integrations, choose Jobber, then Connect, and approve bubbl3 on Jobber's page.
  2. Check the count and the field mapping, and import.
  3. Answer How did these leads agree to hear from you?

Disconnect

Disconnect from the connection page in Settings, Integrations. bubbl3 disconnects its app in Jobber too, as removing it in Jobber would.

  • Stops at once: imports, new clients and changes, notes and writebacks.
  • Deleted at once: bubbl3's tokens and the links between bubbl3 contacts and Jobber clients. Opt-outs still waiting are dropped.
  • Kept: contacts imported from Jobber, with their messages, labels and consent, unless you tick Also delete the contacts imported from it. Notes and values bubbl3 wrote stay.
  • Deleted later: the updates Jobber sent are deleted 30 days after they arrived.

Data shared

From bubbl3 to Jobber: client notes for texts; texting turned off for a client's numbers on STOP; name, company or title when you ask.

Sending rules that still apply

Jobber never texts anyone through bubbl3 itself. Its new and changed contacts can start your workflows, and every workflow text goes through the same checks as a text you send from bubbl3. Nothing in Jobber can turn them off.

  • Consent. When you connect Jobber or create a lead source, you confirm that everyone you send to bubbl3 has agreed to receive texts from you, so its contacts can be texted straight away. bubbl3 never texts a contact who opted out, and a workspace set to text only opted-in contacts texts only them.
  • Opt-out. Replying STOP opts a contact out at once. bubbl3 also records it in Jobber.
  • Quiet hours. No texts from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM in the contact's own time zone (from the phone's area code). A text due then waits until the morning.
  • Pacing. Each line texts at most 15 new contacts an hour and 50 a day (fewer while a new line warms up), and spaces texts 20 to 90 seconds apart. A big import or batch is queued and sent as the limits allow, never dropped.
  • First messages. Until a contact replies, a text can't include links, photos or files, phone numbers or email addresses, must be 300 characters or fewer, and at most 3 texts go out.

What Jobber is told when bubbl3 doesn't send

A note on the client says the text wasn't sent, with the reason. A held text gets a note saying when it's scheduled.

The numbers are the default limits; a line's own limits change them. bubbl3's other checks (no phone number, a number that doesn't match) have their own plain reasons.

Limits and known gaps

  • bubbl3 makes at most 4 calls a second per connection and waits when Jobber's query budget runs low.
  • Jobber's per-number "SMS allowed" setting is read on each import and update: turned off on the client's number, it opts the contact out in bubbl3, and bubbl3 doesn't write that back to Jobber or copy it to your other connected CRMs. If Jobber starts the setting off for clients nobody asked, those clients are opted out in bubbl3 too, so check it before you rely on Jobber for texting. Turning it on again in Jobber never opts anyone back in: only a reply of START, or consent recorded in bubbl3, does. A STOP in bubbl3 still turns it off in Jobber.
  • Jobber has no client time zone, so quiet hours use the phone's area code.
  • Imports take every client: filters aren't offered.

Troubleshooting

  • The connection needs attention. Jobber refused to renew bubbl3's access, or the app was removed in Jobber. Reconnect.
